Meet the Team
Catherine Risigo-Wickline, OTR/L
Helping children
overcome barriers to success is a personal
mission for me. My own lifelong struggle
with Attention Deficit Disorder, along with two
decades working with children form birth to age
18, have given me considerable insight into the
challenges kids face.
I am a graduate of
Quinnipiac College and have extensive training
in sensory integration, feeding and oral-motor
issues. I have also pursued a mater's
degree in nutrition so that I can deepen my
understanding of effects of nutrition on
attention, focusing and learning styles.
I've been featured as an advocate and expert on
early intervention on CNN, CBS Morning Show,
USA Today, Geraldo Rivera Show, People Magazine
and the Boston Globe, and honored locally
by the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce as
Entrepreneur of the Year.
Our parent company,
Therapy Unlimited, is build on a holistic
approach to helping children and families.
We offer early intervention services to
Connecticut's Birth-to-Three program through
Family Junction. In addition, Therapy
Unlimited serves as a resource for child care
workers, teachers and other professionals
working with children who have special needs.
Lastly, Therapy Unlimited includes a NAEYC-accredited,
nonprofit daycare facility for children of all
abilities called Kangaroo's Korner Early
Learning, which I founded in 1997.
